Description
Some years ago, a very close friend (of Finnish ancestry) purchased a used sauna, originally built by Finnish immigrants in 1912. He arranged for the building to be moved to his property and commissioned me to build a bench for his new acquisition. The original version of this bench was double the length, but without the padouk “rays of late summer sun” that I added to this edition of “Helsinki Lights.”
